- Ballet 10 & Over, Amateur only. Novices may compete, but it will still be placed in an Amateur section.
- Variations chosen from established 19th Century Classical Ballet repertoire.
- Pointe shoes must be worn, but only from 14years and over.
- Various Companies to choose from:
Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Australian Ballet, American Ballet, New York City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Russian Kirov or Bolshoi, Paris Opera, Maryinsky Ballet etc. - No deviation is allowed from the prescribed Ballet Repertoire solo. Please stay with authentic choreography.
- You may use your own speed and recording. It must be a clear recording of good quality and sound.
- Costumes to be used are related to the solo of choice. Colouring is not essential as this is an effort to economize on costumes. Appropriate headgear can be used.
